JAMMU, Dec 8: MIER Cricket Academy lifted the IIIM Foundation Cup 2023 here today.
In the final match which was played between MIER Cricket Academy and Vriddhi Royals at Sir Col. R.N Chopra Cricket Stadium in the presence of Dr Zabeer Ahmed, Director, CSIR-IIIM Jammu.
Vriddhi Royals won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 143 runs in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. While chasing an easy target, MIER Cricket Academy chased the target in 18.1 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Aashutosh Mahajan was declared man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
Dr Zabeer Ahmed also highlighted the pivotal role of sports activities in fostering unity and camaraderie among the institute’s members. He urged the players to embrace the positive spirit of the game and applauded the organizing committee members for orchestrating such sporting events within the institute.
