JAMMU, Sept 9: Outplaying Trikuta Cricket Academy by a big margin of 72 runs in the semifinals, MIER Cricket Academy sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Pulwama Martyrs Cup Cricket Tournament at Railway ground, here today.
Surjit Singh, former Ranji Trophy Player was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, MIER Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, MIER Cricket Academy scored 215 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 30 overs. From MIER Cricket Academy, Snoop, Sameer and Dhuruv scored 63, 60 and 32 runs respectively. From Trikuta Cricket Academy, Kasif and Sagar took 3 wickets each.
In reply, Trikuta Cricket Academy scored 143 runs in 27.3 overs. Shiva, Pranav, Vasu and Jahanvir scored 23, 21, 21 and 20 runs to the total respectively. From MIER Cricket academy, Kanhaiya took 4 wickets, while Snoop and Shahzad took 2 wickets each. Snoop was declared the man of the match. The match was officiated by Balbir Singh, coach of Trikuta Cricket Academy.
