JAMMU, Dec 28: A scintillating show was put up by MHAC Nagbani students in the school premises on the occasion of Annual Day title Expressions.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dr RK Arya, Vice-President, DAV Managing Committee, New Delhi, while Simrandeep Singh, CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was the guest of honour. The other dignitaries on this festive occasion were TK Ganjoo, Manager, LMC members and other distinguished guests.
On the occasion, rich floral tribute was paid to the founder of the school His Highness, Maharaja Hari Singh. A guard of honour was given to the chief guest followed by an impressive march past by the students, NCC and Naval cadets led by the parade Commander of the school.
Principal Sween Puri presented the annual report of the school and apprised the audience about the accomplishment and vision of the school. She highlighted the achievements of the students in academic, sports and other co-curricular activities. This was followed by the annual award presentation ceremony to the meritorious students and the students who excelled in extra-curricular activities.
Simrandeep Singh while addressing the gathering shared the fond memories of his school days and requested the endeavor for a better society.
The function continued with the cultural carnival. The items included the Welcome dance by colorful brigade of Kindergarten wing followed by the stakeholder song, Saraswati Vandana, Khoye Bachhpan Ki Wapsi, Union is Strength, a beautiful dance drama on women empowerment and save environment. All these items lifted up the mood of one and all.
A beautiful ballad on Maharaja Hari Singh showcasing his life and his contribution to remove maladies in the society and the legacy of Maharaja being carried forward by the DAV was beautifully depicted.
