JAMMU, Oct 12: DAV National Sports Cluster Level Competitions of Roller Skating were organized at MHAC School, Nagbani, here.
All the DAV Schools from Punjab and J&K cluster participated in this competition. The competition was open for under-19 boys and girls categories.
TK Ganjoo, Manager LMC, MHAC was the chief guest on the occasion. Principal MHAC Sween Puri was guest of honour.
Shashi Bedi extended a formal welcome to the dignitaries and participants.
Kamal Anand, Mir Daniyal, Divij Balotra and Rajan Salathia were the State officials present to co-ordinate and judge the championship. Skaters participated in 300 meters, 500 meters and 1000 meters races in quads and inline.
It was a thrill to watch 3000 meters quads and inline road race wherein skaters participated with lot of stamina and energy.
In Rink-I Time Trail Quad 300 meters (boys), Abhirab Balotra of MHAC School, Nagbani, Aviraaj if Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab and Prabhroop Singh of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
Rink-II Quads 1000 meters (boys), Rajveer Singh of MHAC School, Nagbani, Aviraaj of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab and Rudra Ghai of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Rink-III Time Trail In Line 300 meters (boys), Raghav Gupta of MHAC School, Nagbani and Krishna Bajaj of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab bagged first and second positions respectively.
In Rink-IV In Line 500 meters (boys), Raghav Gupta of MHAC School, Nagbani, Krishna Bajaj of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab and Tushiv Malik of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Rink-I Time Trail Quad 300 meters (girls), Diya Rajput of MHAC School, Nagbani, Anshul of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab and Shavi Mahajan of MHAC School, Nagbani bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In Rink-II Quads 1000 meters (girls), Gurmehar of DAV Public School Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, Anshul of Police DAV Public School, Jalandhar, Punjab and Shavi Mahajan of MHAC School, Nagbani secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Rink-III Time Trail In Line 300 meters (girls), in Rink-IV In Line 500 meters (girls) and in Rink-V In Line 1000 meters (girls), Anshika Jain of MHAC School, Nagbani bagged first position.
Diya Rajput (Quads) and Anshika Jain (Inline) of MHAC School Nagbani bagged Best Skater award in girls, while in Abhirab Balotra (Quads) and Raghav Gupta (Inline) MHAC School Nagbani secured Best Skater award in boys.
The overall Cluster Level Roller Skating Trophy (Boys and Girls) were won by MHAC School Nagbani.
On the valedictory function, the chief guest TK Ganjoo distributed the prizes and medals.
Principal Sween Puri wished all the winner skaters all the best for Zonal Level Competition of DAV National Sports.
