MGCA, PCC outplay rivals, register berth in next round

Jammu, June 22: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) and Prince Cricket Club (PCC) outplayed their rivals in respective league matches and registered berth into next round of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup, being played at KC Public School cricket ground here today.
The first match of the day was played between Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) and YSCE.
Batting first after winning the toss, YSCE scored 134 runs in 20 overs. Aakash played a splendid inning of 61 runs, whereas Dikshant made 16 runs.
From MGCA side, Sahil was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets and Surya scalped 1 wicket.
In reply, MGCA chased the target in 16 overs and won the match. Shubam scored 69 runs and Sahil Mahotra made 37 runs.
From YSCE side, Uday took 2 wickets and W Akram claimed 1 wicket.
Sahil Mahotra of MGCA was declared as man of the match.
The second match of the day was played between Prince Cricket Club (PCC) and United Cricket Club (UCC).
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, UCC made 91 runs in 20 overs. Sukhvinder and Sunny scored 21 and 12 runs respectively.
For PCC side, Ashu was the wrecker-in-chief with 4 wickets and Sanjay took 1 wicket.
PCC chased the target in 12.1 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Prince and Vishal scored 31 and 20 runs respectively.
For UCC side, Mithun took 3 wickets and Sunny scalped 2 wickets.
Ashu of UCC was adjudged as man of the match.
