JAMMU, Jan 11: Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) and Challenger Cricket Club (CCC) smashed rivals in their respective league matches and sailed into the next stage of the ongoing KC Sports Club Cricket Tournament, being sponsored by KC Hyundai, Jammu.
In the first league match, Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy (MGCA) crushed National Cricket Club (NCC) by 11 runs.
Batting first, MGCA scored 126 runs in stipulated 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sahil Malhotra played well, smashed some crispy shots and made half century (50 runs), whereas Mohit contributed with 18 runs and Rocky made 12 runs.
For NCC side, Vijay Dogra and Gokul claimed 2 wickets each, whereas Deepak and Inderjeet shared one wicket each.
In reply NCC collapsed at 115 runs for all out. Manish Dogra scored 24 runs, Deepak contribute 21 runs and Inderjeet made 14 runs.
For MGCA side, Bhanu was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets whereas Rocky, Mohit and Surya took 2 wickets each.
Sahil Malhotra of MGCA was adjudged as man of the match.
In the second league match, Challenger Cricket Club (CCC) registered 4 wickets win over KCSC.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, KCSC made 127 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Sahil Lotra was the top scorer with 33 runs, whereas Romy made 28 runs and Ateev contributed with 27 runs.
For CCC side, Akash Choudhary took 2 wickets, whileas Rahul, Mussa, Summit, Manjeet and Bansi Lal shared one wicket each.
In the second inning, CCC chased the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Shoaib was the top scorer with 46 runs.
For KCSC side, Arjun Chowdhary, Vivek and Nawshad shared 2 wickets each.
Shoaib of CCC was declared as man of the match.
