JAMMU, Mar 28: Media XI defeated YNC Jammu by 3 wickets in the ongoing Holi Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Sachin Singh, Mukesh Sharma and Sunil Kumar at Mandal, here.
Earlier, put into bat, YNC Jammu scored 136 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Sachin Singh (31), Ashu Gupta (27) and Suresh Kumar (12) were the main contributors. For Media XI, Ashu Kumar and Rohit Sharma took 2 wickets each, while Jagdeep Singh claimed one.
In reply, Media XI chased the target comfortably in 19.2 overs by losing 7 wickets, thus won the match by 3 wickets. Rahul Khatri top scored with magnificent 49 runs, while Rohit Sharma contributed valuable 38 runs to the total. Amit Sudan chipped in with 17 runs. For YNC Jammu, Tony and Rahil Gupta took 2 wickets each, while Ashu Gupta claimed one wicket. Rohit Sharma was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Virender Singh and Arun Kumar as umpires, while Raj Kumar was the scorer.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Ankush Abrol, Member BCCI.
