JAMMU, Oct 7: Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu trounced Bishnah Cricket Club (BCC) by a margin of 6 wickets in a friendly cricket match played at Phallian Mandal cricket ground, here today.
After winning toss, Bishnah Cricket Club (BCC) led by Ashwani Kumar opted to bat first and set a target of 152 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ankush scored highest 54 runs in 40 balls while Sachin scored 24 runs off 14 balls.
For Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu, Sachin Jamwal was the pick of the bowler and scalped 3 wickets, while Sunil took 2 wickets.
Chasing the target, Media-XI Cricket Club Jammu led by Mir Imran lost the wickets of Amit Kumar at 17 runs and Amit Sudan at 4 runs in quick succession. But, thereafter Faheem Tak and Sunil Bali provided a solid start by putting up 66 runs partnership for third wicket. Faheem Tak scored 31 runs, while Sunil Bali chipped in 37 runs off 27 balls.
Sachin Jamwal also played a splendid inning of 41 runs off 20 balls and helped Media XI Cricket Club Jammu to achieve the target successfully in 15 overs. Media-XI won the match by 7 wickets.
For BCC side, Ashwani Kumar and Sachin shared 2 wickets each in their 4 overs.
