UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Media team trounced Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYS&S) team in a friendly match played at Subash Stadium, here today.
Media team won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, the team of DYS&S made 119 runs in stipulated 15 overs. Parshotam Sharma made 34 runs, while Rakesh Khajuria and Rajesh Kumar scored 10 and 23 runs to total respectively and Jatin and Depak contributed unbeaten 12 and 9 runs respectively.
In reply, Media team chased the target and registered a splendid win over their opponents wherein Rehan Wani made 46 runs, while Tushar scored unbeaten 27 runs and Naveesh contributed 5 runs.
DYSSO Udhampur gave jerseys and caps to all players as a token of love, while Rehan Wani was declared as man of the match for his outstanding performance.
The match was officiated by Rakesh and Vipin Photra, while Rishi Kumar Sharma and Anshu Brat Khanna acted as scorers and Bhoopinder Singh and Sanjeev Kumar Khajuria were the commentators.
