DODA, June 21: Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) registered convincing win over Tossa Maidan Cricket Club (TMCC) Budgam by 71 runs in the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Bank Ltd, Zum Zum Sweets (Kud Wale), Mumtaz Building Material Doda, Hotel Doda Darbar, Green Model Hr Sec School Doda, Shaheen Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Chenab Valley Pub Hr Sec School Doda, Natnoo Furnishing House, Angel Light & Tent House Doda.
District Administration and District Police Doda is supporting the organisers in holding the event.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC set a total of 164 runs in allotted 20 overs game for the loss of 6 wickets. Robin Singh top scored with 74 runs while Kavit Manhas contributed 18 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Gowhar grabbed 4 wickets while Arshad Malla took 2 wickets.
In reply while chasing the stipulated target, TMCC Budgam team was bundled out for just 93 runs in 16.1 overs, thus by lost the match by 71 runs. Arshad Malla was the highest scorer who scored 33 runs while Hussain contributed 15 runs to the total. From bowling side, Kavit Manhas grabbed 04 wickets while Rithik Singh and Jasbir Singh shared two wickets to each.
Later on, Robin Singh of Manhas Cricket Club was declared as the man of the match for his best batting performance who was given prize by Owner Angel Light & Tent House Doda, Bushan Kumar along with Chief Organizer YSCC Doda Irfan Ali Butt.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza, Harish Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorers.
