DODA, June 22: Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah defeated New Siraj Doda by 72 runs to enter into the quarterfinal of the ongoing All India 15th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda with the support of District Administration and District Police Doda.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah scored 189 runs in the allotted 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Rohan Koul top scored with 59 runs while Robin Singh contributed 51 runs to the total. From the bowling side, Shahroz Wani bagged 4 wickets while Kashif Batt, Salman Sheikh and Rehan Dar shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, New Siraj Doda team bundled out for paltry 117 runs in 16.4 overs, thus lost the match by 72 runs. Salman Sheikh scored 27 runs while Azmat Wani contributed 15 runs to the total. From bowling side, Tanmay captured 3 wickets while Kavit Manhas and Rohan Koul took 2 and 1 wicket respectively. Rohan Koul of Manhas Cricket Club Bhaderwah was declared as the man of the match for his all-round performance who received prize from Sub Inspectors Ashiq Lone and Imran Ahmed.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza, Harish Raza as umpires while Sandeep Kaushik was the scorer.
