JAMMU, Sept 15: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, MBS College and SPMR College of Commerce sealed berth in the finals and will take on each other in the summit clash of the ongoing Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament 2017-18, being played at the Football Ground, University of Jammu, here.
Earlier, in the 1st semifinal, MBS College drubbed GCET Jammu by two goals to nil (2-0). The 1stgoal was scored by Jagandeep Singh in 37th minute, while Vivek Pal Singh netted the 2nd goal in the 51st minute.
In the 2nd semifinal, SPMR Commerce College defeated GDC Kathua again by two goals to nil (2-0). From SPMR Commerce College, the 1st goal was scored by Ajay Kumar in 36th minute, while the 2nd goal was scored by Madhav in the 55th minute.
The matches were officiated by Vijay Kumar, Taranpal Singh, Rahul Sharma, Dil Bahadur and Gagan Kumar.
The Tournament was organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, under the supervision of its Director Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia.
