JAMMU, Apr 17: The five-night Mahant Bachittar Singh (MBS) Gold Cup 5s Night Hockey Tournament concluded with a thrilling final at Boys High School, Simbal Camp, Jammu, where MBS Hockey Club defeated Khalsa Hockey Club by 3-2 to lift the title.
The closing match witnessed enthusiastic crowds as both teams delivered high-intensity hockey under floodlights. The winning trophy was presented to MBS Hockey Club in recognition of their strong performance throughout the tournament.
The final was graced by chief guest MLA Jammu South, Dr Narinder Singh Raina, who appreciated the players for their sportsmanship and competitive spirit. He was joined by SDPO RS Pura Gurmeet Singh, Varun Sharma and Paramjeet Singh.
The tournament was organised by MBS Hockey Club members including Rajinder Singh (President), Balkaran Singh (Vice President) and Harneet Kaur (General Secretary), with full coordination support from KC Overseas Education Jammu.
The organisers highlighted that the 5-a-side night format encouraged fast-paced competition and greater community participation, promoting hockey development in the region.
