JAMMU, June 12: Mayank Kulkarni and Ashwina Raina won Under-19 Jammu division Chess events in open and girls section respectively, held at Kailash Resort Muthi, here today.
In boy’s category, 2nd prize was secured by Saksham Koul and 3rd prize was won by Aarav Gupta.
In the girl’s category, Ojaswini Mengi and Swistika stood 2nd and 3rd respectively.
The top two each from Jammu and Kashmir provinces from each category will represent the J&K in forthcoming nationals.
Mayank Kulkarni had also won in the under-17 category held recently. The events were organised by Jammu division selection committee members including Ajit Singh and Arvindu Sharma.
