JAMMU, July 29: Maxim Singh an employee of Jammu University won the Open Chess Tournament with a cash prize of Rs 5000, organized by Jammu District Chess Association at Ace Chess Academy, here.
Ravi Sharma of Kathua bagged 2nd prize while Imtiaz Ahmad won third prize followed by Sanyam Gupta and Arvindu who got 4th and 5th prize repectively. Sardar Ranbir Singh got the best veterans prize. Vridhi claimed U-12 girls’ prize, while Divyam Gupta got best U-12 boys prize.
Atul Kumar Gupta, President All J&K Chess Association was the chief guest on the occasion who along with Baldev Raj, Raj Kumar and Rakesh Gupta distributed the prizes among the winners.
Vijay Choudhary, Owner of Ace Academy presented vote of thanks.
