JAMMU, June 10: Coach of Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore IPL team and former First-Class Cricketer, Mithun Manhas inaugurated a Cricket facility namely Sunrise Cricket Academy in the premises of Delhi Public School (DPS), Udhampur.
While Manhas was the chief guest on the occasion, Bhupinder Baghal, former Ranji & Duleep Trophy Player and Dr JC Gupta, Pro-Vice Chairman of Delhi Public School Udhampur were the guests of honour.
The other dignitaries who graced the occasion were Shyam Lal Kalsotra, former Vice Chairman JKCA; Chander Mohan Sharma, former Vice Chairaman JKCA; Guru Pratap Singh, former Ranji Trophy Player; Suresh Singh, BCCI Level-1 Coach and former Ranji Trophy Player and Raj Kumar Bucha.
While congratulating DPS Udhampur for establishing Cricket Academy, Manhas said that Cricket is just not only a game in India, but much more than that or in other words, it is simply a religion in our country.
He assured the management all help with regard to bestowing tips to the budding cricketers to hone their skills.
The Pro-Vice Chairman of the school, Dr Gupta in his address thanked the dignitaries for sparing their valuable time.
Principal of the school, Dr Kunal Anand said that the objective of the Sunrise Cricket Academy is to “catch them young and coach them”.
