Manhas honoured; assures to establish Cricket Academy in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH, June 20: To recognize the achievements of ace cricketer and cricket coach, Mithun Manhas, Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Doda organised a felicitation function, here.
Manhas, who was coach of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL last season, belongs to District Doda.
The programme was held at Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah under the supervision of Shafqat Khakaan, where ASP Bhaderwah Raj Singh Gouria and SDPO Adil Rishu were the special invitees. Educationist Arif Rana conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Speakers described Manhas a distinguished cricketer of Chenab valley and hoped that the star of Chenab Valley will shine all over the world.
ASP Raj Singh Gouria, SDPO Adil Rishu, Principal GHSSB Shabnam Nigar and Shafqat Khakaan presented a shawal, trophy and a bouquet to honour the cricketer in the presence of large gathering.
Later, Manhas interacted with the cricket enthusiasts and students of GHSSB Bhaderwah and advised the students to focus on their targets to achieve goals.
Manhas also announced that he will open a Cricket Academy in Bhaderwah, as whole district Doda has tremendous potential and talent for cricket.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mithun Manhas who not only captained Delhi team for a long stint, is one of the finest middle-order batsmen in Indian domestic cricket.
