JAMMU, Dec 16: After a swashbuckling, power-packed and murderous double ton (214) off 225 balls, studded with 22 boundaries and 10 massive sixes by promising Shubam Khajuria, it was talented youngster, AM Mangnoo, who stole the show by taking 8 wickets so far in the match, with 4 wickets in each innings to help Jammu and Kashmir enjoy the driver’s seat in the Cooch Behar Plate-A match against Railways at Baroda.
After being bundled out for a paltry total of 112 runs in the first innings against a decent total of J&K’s 388 runs, the Railways were struggling at 105 for the loss of 5 wickets in their second essay, still trailing by 177 runs to avoid innings defeat.
At stumps on day-2, RS Sharma (6) and AP Mohite (8) were at the crease. AS Yadav was the top scorer with 36 runs in the second innings for Railways. For J&K, Mangnoo took 4/57 in the first innings and 4/43 in the second innings. Apart from Mangnoo, it was Paras Sharma, who took 2 in the first innings and one so far in the second, while Rohit Sharma claimed 2 in the first innings and Aquib Nazir one.
