JAMMU, Feb 25: Getting the better of SPMR College of Commerce by 6 wickets in the semifinals, MAM College entered the finals of the Intra-Zone (A) Cricket Men Tournament, being played at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, SPMR College of Commerce scored 92 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 15 overs.
In reply, MAM College chased the target in 14.2 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process thus won the match by 6 wickets.
Yogesh Sikka of MAM College scored unbeaten 40 runs, while Zeeshan took 3 wickets for the winning team.
Prof. Sham Singh Kotwal, Prof Rahul Sharma,Prof Veer Singh, Prof Rajeev Kumar and Pawan Giri, Assistant Physical Director of GGM Science College Jammu were present during the Games.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Singh, Ashok Singh, Vijay Kumar and Sadiq Hussain.
Earlier, GGM Science College defeated GDC Bishnah in the quarterfinals to enter the last four stage.
GGM Science College scored 128 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 15 overs and GDC Bishnah collapsed at 41 runs in 13.1 overs., thus GGM Science College won the match by 87 runs. Ahsan Mir and Dev Shubam of GGM Science College scored 55 and 40 runs respectively. Saqib and Amjad took 3 wickets each for the winning team.
