SRINAGAR, Oct 14: Defeating Friends Club in the summit clash, Mahindra Club lifted the Sub Junior boys hockey title, while Badal Club got better of Mahindra Club via tie-breaker in the finals of the Senior Hockey Tournament, organized by Hockey J&K and sponsored by J&K Statre Sports Council at AS College, here.
Earlier, in the Sub Junior boys final, Mahindra Club defeated Friends Club by three goals to one (3-1), while in the title clash of the Senior Hockey Tournament, Badal Club prevailed over Mahindra Club by four goals to three (4:3) in tie-breaker after the match ended in a goalless draw in the stipulated time.
Principal Amar Singh College, Srinagar was the chief guest on the occasion, who lauded the efforts of the Hockey J&K while distributing prizes on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by the panel of experts including Fafiq Baba, Pradeep Singh, Gurdeep Singh Sangral, Autar Singh and Mohammad Amin.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Gurcharan Jeet Singh, Ali Mohammad, GS Bakshi, Dedar Singh, Gurdyal Singh, RGN Wani and Harjeet Singh.
