Magnificent 80 runs knock by Sandy helps DCC to lift Sikh Premier League title

JAMMU, Oct 16: Magnificent 80 runs knock by Sandy Singh helped Dashmesh Cricket Club (DCC) to thrashed Khalsa Cricket Club and to lift the title trophy of Sikh Premier League, organized by Khalsa Club at Baba Jhulla Camp, Gole Gujral, Talab Tillo, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, KCC set a target of 163 runs by losing 8 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Parvinder was the highest scorer with 40 runs, while Kulvinder Singh and Surinder Singh chipped in 34 and 26 runs respectively.
For DCC side, Gurvinder and Kulvinder scalped 2 wickets each, while Ominder clinched one wicket.
In the second inning, DCC chased the target in 19.1 overs by losing 5 wickets. Sandy Singh played a splendid inning of 80 runs, while Gurvinder Singh and Kulvinder scored 20 and 16 runs respectively.
From KCC side, Harpreet scalped 2 wickets, while Parvinder and Kulvinder Singh took 1 wicket each.
Sandy Singh of DCC was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Narinder Singh and Mankaran Singh as umpires, while Devinder Singh acted as scorer.
On the valedictory function, MLC Charanjeet Singh Khalsa was the chief guest, who awarded the winner team and asked the youth to play games for the overall development of their body.
