Lonestar KFC, Real Kashmir FC script victories over opponents

SRINAGAR, July 30: Lonestar KFC (LKFC) and Real Kashmir FC (R) trounced their rivals SCFA and Shaheen FC Jammu by five goals to nil (5-0) each in the ongoing 1st edition of Professional Football League-2021, being organised by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, here today.
Today’s two matches were played on the penultimate day of the League wherein the first match was played between SCFA and Lonestar KFC (LKFC). LKFC dominated the field from start to end and didn’t give any chance to SCFA to stabilize their position. LKFC thrashed SCFA by a margin of five goals to nil. This was the last league match of LKFC and SCFA. Ragav was declared as man of the match for his hat-trick whereas Steven and Johnson scored one goal each.
The 2nd match was played between Real Kashmir FC (RKFC) and Shaheen FC Jammu. The match started with an aggressive play by RKFC in the beginning and they tried to penetrate the defence line of the Shaheen FC Jammu but succeeded in the 25th minute when Shakir Ahmad made a beautiful cross and Ateeb made no mistake in converting it into a goal for RKFC, whereas Shaheen FC came on the offensive and tried hard to find an equalizer but could not succeed. The half time score was 1:0 in favour of RKFC.
In the 2nd half, both teams tried hard to dominate each other but Faisal Wagnor of RKFC doubled the lead by scoring another goal. In the 65th and 75th minutes, Basit of RKFC scored the 3rd and 4th goal for his team and in the 78th minute RKFC was awarded a penalty kick for an offense inside the penalty area and Shoib made no mistake in converting the penalty into goal and registered emphatic win over their opponents (Shaheen FC) by 5 goals to nil. Basit of RKFC was declared as man of the match.
J&K Bank will lock horns with Kashmir Avengers FC while Hyderya Sports FC will face Downtown Hero’s FC on tomorrow at same venue.
