Lone Star KFC, JK Forest XI register solitary goal wins

SRINAGAR, July 25 : Lone Star Kashmir Football Club (KFC) and J&K Forest XI registered solitary goal victories over their rivals in the ongoing 16th J&K Police Martyrs  Memorial Football Tournament 2018, being played at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground, here.
In the first match, Lone Star KFC defeated Jammu United by one goal to nil (1:0). Both the teams could not score during the allotted time and the match ended goalless in the stipulated time. However, Faizan of Lone Star KFC scored a solitary goal of the match in the extra time and qualified for semifinal. Kamran Nazir of Lone Star KFC was declared as the man of the match for his outstanding performance. He was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and a trophy by the chief guest on the occasion. Shailender Singh, SSP, Commandant JKAP 9th Battalion was the chief guest.
The second match was played between J&K Forest XI and State Football Academy (SFA) which was won by J&K Forest XI again by a solitary goal (1:0).
