JAMMU, Apr 1: Little Flowers Akhnoor, MIER Shining Stars & Satwari Cantt Challengers registered emphatic wins in their last league matches of the ongoing “Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha T20 Championship for Junior Cricketers”, at Parade Ground, here today.
However, the victories in their respective matches were not enough for these teams to take them to the finals as Jammu Rising Stars and Vishal Kings have already made it to the finals in this Tournament.
The Cricket Series for Junior Cricketers in which 8 teams are participating is being organized by District Police Jammu under Civic Action Programme by Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu, SP City North is the head of the organizing team, while Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer & former Ranji Trophy Player is the Coordinator and the other Committee members include Vivek Shekhar, DySP City and Dheeraj, SHO Pacca Danga, Jammu.
Today, in the first match Little Flowers Akhnoor defeated KC Warriors by 7 wickets.
Batting first, KC Warriors scored 91 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 18 overs, with Johnson (17), Ashvardhan (16) and Uttkarsh (13) being the main scorers.
For Little Flowers, Stephan, Smile and Manik took 2 wickets each, while Sajan claimed 1 wicket.
Little Flowers Akhnoor, in reply achieved the target in 12.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets,thus won the match by 7 wickets. Manav (28) and Sugam (12) were the main scorers.
From KC Warriors, Johnson and Uttkarsh took 1 wicket each. Manav was adjudged as the man of the match.
In the second match, MIER Shining Stars defeated RRL Royals by 6 wickets.
Batting first, RRL Royals scored 89 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 18 overs, with Udhay (31) and Aditya (10) being the main scorers.
From bowling side, Karmanya and Aditya took 2 wickets each.
MIER Shining stars, in reply, achieved the target in 15.2 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. Snoop (32) and Nirbaya (9) were the main scorers. From Bowling side, Shavac, Abu and Uday shared 1 wicket each. Snoop was declared as the man of the match.
In another match, Satwari Cantt Challengers defeated Little Flowers Akhnoor by 55 runs.
Batting first, Satwari Cantt Challengers scored 155 runs for the loss of 5 wicket in 18 overs , with Tanveer 32,Rohit 20 and Hanjala 18 being the main scorers.
From Bowling Side, Nanit took 2 wickets while Stephan took 1 wicket for the team.
Little Flower Akhnoor, in reply could not achieved the target and made 100 runs in 13.2 overs for the loss of all wickets and thus lost the match by 55 runs. Manav was the main who scored 36 runs and Sugam also made 12 runs for the team.
Hanjala was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 important wickets for his team, while Arun bagged 2 wickets and Kartik claimed 1 wicket. Hanjala was adjudged as the man of the match for his great bowling performance.
The final will be played tomorrow from 1.30 pm.
