JAMMU, June 13: Indian Divyang Cricket team lifted Lifebuoy Cup 2022 by winning a series against Nepal, being organised by Wheelchair Cricket Association Nepal at Mulpani International Cricket Stadium Kathmandu.
In the three match series, the Indian Divyang team defeated Nepal for the 2nd consecutive match and won the series. The final match of the series will be played tomorrow at the same venue.
In the second match, Nepal captain Ramprakash Kharel won the toss and invited the Indian cricket team to bat first.
Indian Divyang Cricket team scored 145 runs on the loss of 3 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sayed Shah Aziz scored unbeaten 54 runs with the help of 4 sixes and one four, while Shahul Hameed also made 54 not out with the help of 3 sixes and 3 fours. From the bowling side, Manoj Thapa took 2, whereas Tabrez Alam took one wicket.
In reply, Nepal Divyang bundled out at 68 runs wherein Vivek was the only player who crossed the double figure (11 runs). From the bowling side, Mani Manan was the wrecker-in-chief who took five wickets including a hat-trick, while Sayed Shah Aziz took 2 wickets and Vishal Nayak, Makhan Singh Rajput and Diwakar Tiwari got one wicket each.
The Game Changer award was given to Sayed Shah Aziz, while the Man of the Match award went to Mani Manan.
