JAMMU, Jan 29: The students of Lawrence School, Sidra participated in a drawing competition organized by HPCL to mark the Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight-2016.
HPCL has been organizing Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight (OGCF) every year to spread conservation awareness among all sections of society in different segments and citizen all over the state.
The theme of OGCF-2016 which is being celebrated till Jan 31, 2016 is ‘Indhan ho Swachh – Jan GanRaheinSwasth.’
Safeguarding of natural resources to ensure a better future of coming generations is the objective of the event.
LPG workshop Cum Safety Clinic was also conducted at the Lawrence School by HPCL distributor M/S Shivanghi Gas. On the occasion Senior Regional Manager HPCL Ajai Singh delivered lecture on OGCF and Safe handling on LPG. Safety aspects of Hot Plate, LPG Hose, and LPG Cylinders were explained in detail to the students of the school.
In the end, prizes were distributed among the students of the institute. Seeerat-ul-Nisagot clai-med first place, Prerna Sharma won the second prize, while the third prize went to Shivam Vaid.
Principal of the School, Shivani Joshi lauded the efforts put in by HPCL in spreading the awareness regarding conservation of Petroleum Products.
