JAMMU, Dec 17: Defeating SHTM Department by 9 wickets in the semifinals, Law School sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing Inter-Department Cricket (Men) Tournament, being organised by Office of Chairman Campus Committee, University of Jammu, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, SHTM Department scored Amodest total of 87 runs in the stipulated 15 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Honesh top scored with 37 runs, while Rakesh contributed 32 runs to the total. For Law School, Amar and Raman took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Law School chased the target in 10.3 overs by losing 1 wicket to win the match by 9 wickets. Rameshwar was the top scorer with 46 runs, while Aarush and Rajit contributed 24 and 15 runs to the total respectively.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Suresh Singh, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Manoj Kumar.
