KVS Jammu Region begins courses for Scouts, Guides

JAMMU, May 16: Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Jammu Region, today started six Basic Courses for Scout Masters, Guide Captains and Cub Masters at various KV institutions in the Region, today.
The Courses began at K V No 1, AFS, K V No 2, Army Area, Pathankot and KV No 1 Amritsar Cantonment.
A total of 54 Scout Masters, 36 Guide Captains and 45 Cub Masters are participating in these Courses. Six leaders and 22 Assistants are also participating in these Courses.
The Basic Course for Cub Master was inaugurated by BL Morodia, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO, Jammu at KV No 1 Amritsar Cantonment.
Marodia in his address highlighted the objectives behind conducting such programs.
He said KVS declared BS&G activities as a part of value education being imparted in KVs and called upon everyone to take part in its activities, adding that the adult leaders can play a vital role in imparting value based education among the young boys and girls. The other courses for Scout Masters and Guide Captains at KV No 1 and KV No 2 Pathankot were inaugurated by JD Guru and PL Dhiman, Principals of respective Vidyalayas.
The teachers will be imparted training in developing skills for promoting physical and spiritual potential, service to self and society, development of the society cultural heritage and skills in various field of life.
