JAMMU, Dec 12: PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nagrota, celebrated its Annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and spirited participation from students across all classes. This year’s event was held on the theme “Empowered Youth, Healthy India,” which was well reflected in the energetic involvement and dedication of the young participants.
Principal Ram Kishan Dahiya, in his address, highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, discipline and active participation in shaping the holistic development of students. The day’s programme was conducted by Ritesh Mishra.
Sports coordinators Amreek Singh, Narayan Dass and Ritu Sharma played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of the event, effectively managing both sports and cultural activities.
A variety of competitions-such as sack race, frog race, tie-the-bag race, artistic yoga performance and several other track events-were organized. Students showcased commendable sportsmanship and a strong competitive spirit throughout the day. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and medals to the winners. The Sports Day promoted qualities of teamwork, leadership and self-confidence among the students.
