JAMMU, Nov 6: Annual Sports Day was held at KV No-1 Udhampur with pomp and show, today.
School Principal, Dr R Prasad was the chief guest on the occasion.
He was escorted by NCC Troop which was headed by Sports In-charge, Surinder Kumar. The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Vice Principal Basanti Khampa, Vikramaditya (PGT Physics).
The guests were welcomed by bouquets, badges and caps.
The programme started with the Flag hosting Ceremony and the welcome song presented by the little kids.
Vice Principal, Mrs Khampa presented welcome address on the occasion. All the four houses had a Flag March ceremony. After that, the school Captain (Primary wing), Master Vikrant of class 5th took the Oath taking ceremony. Students of class 4th and 5th performed Bhartiyam in their colourful dresses.
The chief guest, Dr. Prasad declared the Annual Sports Day open. After the dispersal of troops, various sports events like Lemon & spoon Race, Three Leg race, Balancing a Disc etc. were held and the students participated in them with great enthusiasm.
There were two events (Musical chair & 100m Race) for the teachers & all of them participated whole- heartedly. After the conduct of the various sports events, the prizes were distributed among the winners. The vote of Thanks was presented by Minakshi Sharma.
