JAMMU, Dec 3: A function was organized at Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu to felicitate the achievers in the Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Exams-2013, here.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Chairman Vidyalaya Management Committee of the Vidyalaya was the chief guest and A V L J Rao, Deputy Commissioner, KVS, Jammu Region was the guest of honour on this occasion.
The guests were presented flower bouquets and formally welcomed by the School Principal Romi Amrit.
Welcome Song was presented by the Vidyalaya children as a mark of respect to the guests.
Various aspects of school routine and skills were displayed during the assembly arranged for the purpose.
20 students who secured ten points in CGPA were given away cheques worth Rupees 5,000 each as the CBSE rewards such students with cash awards.
The recipients included Varun Gupta, Simrandeep Kour, Sidharth Badyal, Shashvat Sharma, Shantmanu Sharma, Sanchita Sharma, Samonnita Pal, Samarth Gupta, Pulkit Gupta, Prabal Pandit, Oshin Guleria, Mohit Dubey, Avleen Kour, Arjun Partap Singh, Ansh Choudhary, Abhishek Sharma and Abhinav Sharma.
2 students namely Kanika Deoli and Nidhi Rao, who secured more than 90 % marks in aggregate in the Senior Secondary Board Exams were also rewarded.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by the Vice Principal, Dr B C Dwivedy.
