JAMMU, Apr 23: KV No-1, Akhnoor celebrated its 42nd annual day with great enthusiasm and fervour at Sangha Auditorium, here today.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
The annual report was presented by the Vidyalaya Principal Surjeet Singh.
A colorful cultural program was presented by the students on the occasion.
Col Subhajit Basu C.O 510 ASC Bn was the chief guest on the occasion, while Col VK Sharma, SO 1 Edn and Nominee Chairman VMC gave away prizes to the students for their special achievements in different activities.
Teachers producing 100% results in board classes were also felicitated.
In his formal address chief guest appreciated the participants and lauded the teaching faculty for their tireless efforts.
He laid stress on the change in teaching methodology with the initiation of technology and internet in the arena of education to cope up with the pressure of competition.
He shared an inspiring Quote of Swami Vivekanand “awake, arise, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
The vote of thanks was extended by SP Sharma (PGT Maths) of the Vidyalaya.
