JAMMU, Apr 28: The Inter-District UT Level U-17 Boys Football Tournament under “The League of Classics” continued today at Khel Gaon Nagrota, Jammu, witnessing exciting knockout matches amid hot weather conditions.
To ensure smooth conduct, various committees including Technical, Organising, Medical, Registration & Ceremony, Transport, Boarding & Lodging, Finance and Equipment Committees have been constituted. Technical Committee members Rohit Gupta (Convener), Taranpal Singh, Varinder Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Naveen Singh, Devinder Singh and Somander Singh are actively managing matches despite challenging weather conditions.
Today’s results saw Jammu defeat Rajouri by 2-0, while Poonch beat Kathua by 2-1 in pre-quarter matches. In the quarter-finals, Kupwara defeated Baramulla by 2-1 in a closely fought encounter, while Bandipora registered a dominant 8-0 win over Ganderbal.
