JAMMU, Dec 23: The closing ceremony of Kashmir Pandits Premier League (KPPL) was organized at KC Sports Stadium, here today, wherein Vivek Bhardewaj, Additional Chief Secretary Health and Medical Education Department was the chief guest.
Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor Jammu University, Kuldeep Khoda, former DGP Anil Bhat, Khushboo Mattoo,Virender Pandita, president Panun Kashmir, Sunil Thusoo, president KMECT, Sushil Wattal, president Gopinath Trust, Col. GK Raina, Rajiv Pandita, Vinay Koul Dr Shafqat Khan, OSD Health and Medical Education Department were the special guests of the event.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest praised the organizers for organizing such a type of cricket extravaganza for Kashmiri Pandit youth.
Earlier, Prof. Manoj Dhar in his welcome address expressed satisfaction over successful conclusion of this mega event and said that the organization will hold a bigger event in the Valley soon.
The dignitaries of the event presented the title trophy which was sponsored by Singhania University and cash prize of Rs 31,000 to winning team, while the runner-up team was presented a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 21000 alongwith man of the series award of Rs 5000.
The KPPL organizing committee thanked all the guests as well as sponsors of the league for making the event a success.
