JAMMU, July 31: Kishan Chand Cricket Club registered 7 wickets win over Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) in the summit clash and lifted the title trophy of the Jammu Tawi Summer T-20 Premier League, organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, RCC scored 99 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs. Pranav Gupta was the top scorer with 18 runs, while Bansi Lal and Puneet Kumar made 17 and 15 runs respectively.
From Kishan Chand Cricket Club side, Manik was the pick of the bowler with 3 wickets, while Akash, Somya, Sahil took 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, Kishan Chand Cricket Club chased the target by losing 3 wickets in 15.1 overs. Bandeep Singh chipped in 30 runs and remained not out, while Suryansh and Vimarsh made 26 and 14 runs respectively.
From RCC side, Sourab, Dilbag and Kulwinder scalped one wicket apiece.
Manik Gupta of Kishan Chand Cricket Club was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Sadik Hussain Malik and Madan Lal as umpires, while Vinod Kandyala maintained the scorecard.
On the valedictory function, Mehboob Iqbal, Chairman, JKCA was the chief guest, who presented the title trophy to the winning team and also awarded the runner-up team in presence of Desh Rattan and Arun Dogra, who were guests of honour. In junior category, Best Bowler award was presented to Praful Dhar and Best Batsman award was bagged by Aarav Mahajan.
Shashi Paul, organising secretary, Indras Bagal, president and Surinder Mehra were prominent among others present on the occasion.
