JAMMU, May 10: The “Khelo Khel Bhulo Nasha” T20 Championship concluded at MA Stadium Jammu with Rajesh Gill, Deputy Director Prosecution (DDP) Jammu distributing trophies among winners and runners-up at the valedictory function.
The tournament was organised under the banner of the Masters Cricket Association of India as part of the 100-day “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir” campaign aimed at promoting a drug-free society through sports.
Four teams participated in the championship-JK Masters, ACB Masters, Kandi Masters and Media Masters-representing different sections of society. The event began on May 1, 2026, and focused on spreading awareness about drug de-addiction and encouraging active public participation in the mission.
JK Masters emerged as champions after delivering consistent performances throughout the tournament. In the final league match, JK Masters defeated Media Masters by scoring 182 runs and restricting the opposition to 96 runs.
Rajesh Gill was named Man of the Match for his unbeaten 80 off 54 balls, including 10 fours and 2 sixes. Other key contributors included Kapil (42) and Gurdeep (31). For Media Masters, Anil scored 33 runs while Yasir Mehmood made 23 runs.
Individual awards were also presented, with Sunny Singh of JK Masters adjudged best bowler, Sohan Singh of Kandi Masters declared best batsman, and Jatinder Singh Sambyal of Kandi Masters named player of the tournament. Officials Ashok Kumar and Vijay acted as umpires.
