Khalsa Warriors to lock horns with MBS Club in finals

JAMMU, Mar 8: Khalsa Warrior Hockey Club will lock horns with MBS Hockey Club in the summit clash of the ongoing Jammu District Senior Men Hockey Championship, being organised by Hockey J&K at KK Hakku Stadium, here tomorrow.
Today’s first match of championship was played between MBS Hockey Club and Dashmesh Hockey Club in which former defeated the latter by 6 goals to 2. Prabhjot Singh scored 3 goals in 34th, 44th and 59th minutes of the match, whereas Minder Singh netted a goal in 4th minute and Koushal in 28th minute besides Tarandeep Singh scored the goal in the 52nd minute of game for MBS Hockey Club. For Dashmesh Hockey Club each goal was scored by Maganveer Singh and Hirdey in the 23rd and 42nd minutes of the match.
Rajeev Sharma, president Hockey J&K was the chief guest of the first match who introduced the both teams.
In the 2nd match of the championship, Khalsa Warrior Hockey Club trounced Young Star Hockey Club by 4 goals to nil. Sikanderpal Singh scored 3 goals in the 48th, 55th and 58th minutes of game, whereas Rajveer Singh netted single goal in 29th minute of the game.
The matches were officiated by Harvinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Charanjit Singh, Tejinder Singh, Meenakshi Khajuria and Angat Singh.
