Khalsa Warriors, Ask Hockey script wins in Premier League

JAMMU, Jan 21: Khalsa Warriors and Ask Hockey emerged winners of ongoing Premier League J&K 2020-21 District Jammu, being organized under the aegis of J&K Sports Council, here today.
Two matches were played between Khalsa Warriors and Bandhurakh Hockey Club and Ask hockey and Dhashmesh Hockey Club on inaugural day of the tournament.
In first match, Khalsa Warriors defeated Bandhurakh Hockey Club by 12-0 goals. The highest scorer of the match was Manpreet Singh who scored six goals while Gagandeep Singh and Karanjeet Singh netted four and two goals respectively. Ashok Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, JKSC was chief guest of the inaugural match.
In second match Ask Hockey Club trounced Dashmesh Hockey Club by of 5-1 goals.
Rajinder Singh Kuku, general secretary Hockey India was chief guest of the second match. He assured the players for his full cooperation for the promotion of Hockey game in the J&K and asserted that the Council was making every effort to promote games and sports in the rural areas through the medium of this Primer League. “This platform not only develops the youngsters technical aspects but also improve their skill & moral values,” he said.
Sohial Azeem and Ishtiak Hussain were members of technical panel.
