JAMMU, Jan 10: Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Secretariat Blue XI by 38 runs in the ongoing 3rd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Batting first, Khalsa Club scored a decent total of 161 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Nitin top scored with 54 runs, while Monu contributed 25 runs and Prithvi chipped in with 20 runs Yaqoob was the most successful bowler from Secretariat Blue, who took 3 wickets, while Sajad and Sunil claimed 2 wickets each.
In reply, Secretariat Blue collapsed at 123 runs, thus lost the match by 38 runs. Yaqoob, Mushtaq and Sunil were the main contributors with 24, 20 and 12 runs respectively. Sushant took 3 wickets, while Kamal Krishore and Sonu claimed 2 wickets each. Nitin was declared as man of the match.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Secretariat XI will take on WCC at 12:30 pm.
