SRINAGAR, Oct 4: Needing 71 runs to win in 8 overs in the final session of the day, Kerala batsmen managed to score just 44 runs by losing 4 wickets including the wickets of first innings centurions Sanju Samson and Sanchin Baby, thus settled for a draw to earn 3 points at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium, here today.
Earlier, Kerala declared their first innings at 485/8 to gain a lead of 155 runs.
In reply, J&K made 225 for all in their second essay, with opener Adil Reshi (54) and Ian Dev Singh scoring brilliant half-centuries. Parvez Rasool (27) and Shubham Khajuria (23) were other two notable scorers.
In their second innings, Kerala scored 44 runs in 8 overs by losing 4 wickets as J&K Speedsters Ramdayal Punia and Mohd Mudasir bowled brilliantly to take 2 wickets each and restrict the opposition from surpassing the target.
