SRINAGAR, Sept 1: Keh-wah Kings defeated Kanwal Tigers by 27 runs in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL), here today.
Put into bat, Kehwah Kings scored a formidable total of 174 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. Skipper Adil Reshi was the top scorer with 56 runs of 30 balls, while Arshid Khawaja, Ishtaq Rasool, Jahangir Bakshi and Hilal contributed 36, 28, 27 and 17 runs to the total respectively. For Kanwal Tigers, Mehjoor, Irfan, Parvez Rasool and Amir Sofi claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Kanwal Tigers bundled out for 147 runs in 19.3 overs. Hanan Mir (39), Parvez Rasool (21) and Mehraj Sheikh (20) were the main contributors. Shahid Baba and Adil Reshi were the wrecker-in-chief for Kehwah Kings who scalped 4 wickets each, while Ishtiyaq Rasool and Ashraf claimed one wicket each. Adill Reshi was declared HDFC man of the match, while Ishtiaq Rasool got TCI maximum sixes award.
