JAMMU, Sept 1: Dewan Badrinath Amarvilla and Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir (DBNVM), Mubarak Mandi celebrated their 51th Foundation Day today in their respective school premises, here today.
At Amarvilla, the celebration started with hoisting of school flag by Suresh Chander Gupta, the guest of honour.
The boys and girls contingents and school band presented salute at the March-past, which was followed by cultural programmes including silver Jublee song and a group song sung by the students of Primary and Middle wings.
The Tiny Tots of the school presented “Raas Leela”.
Present among the others were Namita Singh, Advisor Lila Karan Sharma, Ramakant Dubey, Yash Puri, Rajender Kakkar Trust, Sunanda Sachedeva, Director Academics, Principal, Headmasters, staff and a large number of parents were also present.
The vote of thanks was presented by the principal Dr Baljeet Sing.
Meanwhile, Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir (DBNVM), Mubarak Mandi Jammu celebrated its 51st foundation day with great pomp and show.
The function started by performing of Havana. Namita Singh Trustee from New Delhi was the chief guest on the occasion, Senior BJP leader and Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge, Yudhvir Sethi and State President of BJP Mahila Morcha, Priya Sethi were the guests of honour.
Among others present on the occasion included Manager Trust K.K Kakkar, Principal, Indu Puri, Director Academics, Suresh Sharma along with prominent citizens, educationists, scholars, students and parents.
Principal of DBN Mubarak Mandi, Indu Puri welcomed the chief guest and others present on the occasion and highlighted the achievements of the students in various curricular and co-curricular activities.The cultural show commenced by lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana recited by the students.
Students also displayed their talent in colouful cultural programme by performing Dogri dance, partrotic song, Bangra etc. Students of the school who have done exceedingly well in the state board examinations were awarded.
