KCPS shines at IIT Delhi’s National Techradiance C’ship

JAMMU, Apr 22: KC Public School, Jammu made the city proud by winning first position in innovation category at the 10th Edition of Techradiance – National Coding and Robotics Championship 2025-26. The event was hosted recently by the E-Cell of IIT Delhi.
Up against more than 70 schools from across India, Team Abyss Watch from KCPS stood out with a submarine prototype that can detect cracks in dams. The jury praised the project for being cost-effective, practical and focused on safer infrastructure monitoring.
The team took home a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and National recognition. Led by student leader Aarav Singh, the team included Akshat Mengi and Gaurang Dhar for 3D modelling and Ashvi Kaul for graphic design. They worked under mentors Surbhi Mahajan, Kapil Kashyap and Shelza Kapoor from the school’s Robotics and IT Department.
KCPS sent three teams to the championship and two made it to the finals. Team Aeternum, with Nitya Sharma and Aasmi Mahajan, reached the final round in the ‘Line Following Robot’ category. Akshaj Gupta and Arshveer Singh competed in the ‘Mini Humanoid Robot category’.
The school’s faculty also won individual honours. Surbhi Mahajan received the best event organiser Award, while Kapil Kashyap was given an appreciation award for dedication.
Principal, Amarendra Kumar Mishra complimented the team and said, “Each project our students build, fills the future with possibility.” The Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Vice -Chairman Arjun Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary appreciated students and the mentor teachers on this extra ordinary achievement.
