JAMMU, Apr 5: KC Public School hosted the Round Square Regional Conference, bringing together delegates from 15 prestigious schools across the country. As per a handout, KC Public School is the only institution from J&K affiliated with the Round Square Association, a global network of over 260 schools in 50 countries focusing on six ideals-Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service.
Participating schools included The Scindia School Gwalior, The Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya Gwalior, Birla Public School Pilani, The Shri Ram School Aravali Gurugram, The Shri Ram School Moulsari Gurugram, Pathways World School Gurugram, The Hyderabad Public School Hyderabad, Yadavindra Public School Patiala, Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School Jodhpur, Vivek High School Chandigarh, The Emerald Heights International School Indore, Sunbeam School & Hostel Varanasi, The British Co-ed High School Patiala and Vidya Gyan School Bulandshahar.
The opening ceremony at Taj Vivanta featured Padma Shri Balwant Thakur as chief guest, who highlighted the role of theatre in shaping leadership qualities. Delegates engaged in discussions, community service and cultural activities, including a Dogri folk performance by Ravi Raghuvanshi.
Keynote sessions were also delivered by Siddhant Chowdhary and Vishakha Singh, who shared insights on leadership and entrepreneurship. The event concluded with cultural performances and a “Jammu Bazaar” fundraiser.
Chairman Raju Chowdhary, Managing Director Arti Chowdhary, Vice Chairman Arjun Chowdhary and Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra appreciated the efforts of participants and organisers.
