JAMMU, Oct 18: KC Public School delegates attended the Round Square International Conference at Kenya.
This year Round Square International Conference was hosted by two branches of Brookhouse School in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 8 to 14 and was attended by about 1200 delegates from 160 Round Square schools from all over the World.
Three student delegates from KC Public School, Medhaj Pathania, Nirvan Chowdhary and Mrinmay Mehta attended the conference along with their School Round Square Rep Manoj Kapoor.
The first day of the conference consisted of ice-breaking and welcoming activities for the delegates. The activities included live dancing with Maasai folk dancers and trying one’s hand at learning useful skills such as screen printing. The second day of the conference began with an opening ceremony at Bomas Cultural Centre in Nairobi, followed by keynote speeches by leading personalities of Africa like former first lady of Kenya, Margaret Gakuo Kenyatta. After listening to the keynote speakers, students and adult delegates split into smaller groups for detailed discussion on the theme.
