JAMMU, May 10: Kishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) defeated Sarveshwar XI by 88 runs to seal berth in the finals of the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament, being played at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, KCCC scored a good total of 178 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Vimarsh Kaw was the top scorer with 58 runs off 43 balls, while Pardeep Bali contributed with 41 runs off 29 balls. Manik Gupta chipped in with 16 runs off 13 balls and Raman Thaploo made 10 runs off 5 balls. Irshad took 3 wickets for Sarveshwar XI, while Narotam claimed 2. Deepak and Kaka shared one wicket each.
In reply, Sarveshwar XI was bundled out for a paltry total of 90 runs off 17.4 overs. Mohd Asif and Chander scored 24 runs each, while Bunty contributed 15 runs to the total. Manik Gupta was pick of the bowlers from KCCC, scalping 3 important wickets, while Raman Dutta bagged 2 wickets. Ankush Bandral, Pardeep Bali and Sahil Sharma shared one wicket apiece. For his superb batting display, Vimarsh Kaw was adjudged as man of the match.
