KCC thrashes UCC, Simula registers win over KTCC

JAMMU, July 7: In the Chevrolet Cricket Cup sponsored by KC Motors Jammu and being played at KC Public School Cricket ground, United Cricket Club (UCC) and Simula won their respective matches.
The first match of the day was played between United Cricket Club (UCC) and Khalsa Cricket Club (KCC). UCC won the toss and decided to bat first and put up a score of 51 runs in 20 over. Sanjay and Dutta scored 11 and 8 runs, respectively. Mohit took 5 wickets and Nitin took 3 wickets.
In reply, Khalsa Cricket Club chased the target of 52 in 7.3 overs and won the match. Harinder Paul scored 25 runs for his side and Sukhwinder made 11 runs. Vikram took 2 wickets and Vinod took 1. Mohit was declared ‘Man of the Match’. Sadiq Hussain Malik, Rajinder Singh and Bunty Kumar were the officials of this match.
The second match of the day was played between Simula and KTCC. KTCC won the toss and decided to bat first and put up a score of 70 runs in 20 over. Jagjot and Arjun scored 13 and 9 runs, respectively. Kuldeep Dogra took 4 wickets and Mohit Puri took 2 wickets.
In reply, Simula chases the target of 71 in 5.3 overs and won the match. Anshuman scored 29 runs and Attul Sharma scored 24 runs. Kuldeep Dogra was declared ‘Man of the Match’. Sadiq Hussain Malik, Bunty Kumar and Rajinder Singh were the officials of this match.
