KC Sports Club enters semis of T20 Tourney

JAMMU, Nov 24: Outplaying Wave Cricket Club in an easy contest by 5 wickets, KC Sports Club entered the semifinals of the ongoing T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by the Club at KC School ground, here.
Now, KC Sports Club will lock horns with RCC Srinagar in the last four stage at the same venue on Friday.
Earlier, Wave Cricket Club scored a modest total of 119 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process. Rahul, KD Singh and Pardeep contributed 37, 20 and 18 runs to the total respectively. For KC Sports, Vivek was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets, while Vishwajeet Singh and Naushad Ali bagged 2 wickets each. Skipper Arjun Choudhary and Abhishant claimed one wicket each.
In reply, KC Sports Club chased the target easily in 14.2 overs by losing 5 wickets, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Amrit Pal Singh was the top scorer with 43 runs off 30 balls, studded with 8 boundaries, while Abhishant Bakshi contributed 41 off 31 balls, with the help of 5 boundaries. For Wave Club, Vicky took 3 wickets, while Prakash Singh and Charanjeet claimed one wicket each.
The match was officiated by Sandeep Manchanda and Sohail Yousuf as umpires, while Sahil was the scorer.
