JAMMU, Jan 25: Students and staff of KC Public School bade an affectionate farewell to the outgoing batch of class 12th in a special function held in the school, here.
Despite cold weather, the event was full of warmth and goodwill. The students of class 12th turned out in elegant formal dresses on the occasion.
The cultural programme presented by the students of class 11th to entertain their departing seniors was well prepared and consisted of singing and dancing items, besides a humorous skit.
In addition, the host class also presented specially designed good-luck cards, bouquets and mementos to their seniors.
As per the custom, Sonali Kaul of the outgoing class was declared the winner of the title ‘Miss Gorgeous’ and Aneesh Khullar was decorated with the title of ‘Mr. Handsome’. The programme was hosted by Anushree Mishra and Nemat Brar in a breezy and cheerful style.
In their farewell thanks giving speeches, Head Boy Animesh Rohmetra and Head Girl Ansheka Rana recalled their more than 12 years’ schooling at KCPS with deep fondness and expressed their gratitude to the teachers of the school for shaping them into good human beings.
In his farewell speech to the outgoing batch, Principal Amarendra Mishra thanked the students for their long association with their alma mater and wished them well in their board examination as well as in their lives. He expressed his sense of pride in bidding adieu to a batch of young men and women well groomed and well educated to take up the challenges of the future awaiting them.
