JAMMU, May 31: Investiture Ceremony was organized at KC International School with pomp and show, here today.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest, Basant Rath, DIG Jammu, School Chairman, Vinay Mahajan, Vice Chairman, Chaitanya Chowdhary and Principal, Dr Ravi Bhushan.
On this occasion, the prefectorial board was sworn in to take up the responsibilities bestowed upon them.
The council was elected after free and fair elections which were organized in the school.
A polling booth and ballot papers were prepared and the students got the real feel of the democratic process.
The badges and sashes were given away by the dignitaries present on the stage.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal, Dr Ravi Bhushan stressed that the council should take up the responsibilities efficiently and responsibly.
He also congratulated the prefectorial board upon being elected and emphasized on ‘One Team One Dream’.
Chief guest, Mr Rath while congratulating the student council stated that the students must give their 100 percent in all their endeavours.
An inspirational song by student choir was the highlight of the programme.
The programme ended with the national anthem.
